MOSAICS - Mosaics harken back to some of the earliest forms of art using natural found objects with which to create a pattern glued to a surface and then grouted to make a permanent art statement. Ceramics, porcelain, marble, rock, found objects and glass are the current medium of choice in the stained glass world. Tools used can be elaborate or very minimal, both with wonderful outcomes.
STAINED GLASS - Worked by foil method or came method, glass is cut into shapes and soldered back together creating many colors, textures and forms from ornaments, window hangings, windows and doors, lamps, free forms, kaliedoscopes and limitless options.
One or more layers that are prepared for fusing in the kiln with results that range from jewelry to dishes to decorative art forms is glass fusion. It's HOT!
